Donate In Memory of Wilma Rucker Davis

On December 10, 1965, Wilma Dean Rucker Davis was initiated into Phi Chapter on the campus of Wiley College located in Marshall, Texas. In 1984, Wilma was a Charter Member of Omicron Mu Omega Chapter located in Dallas Texas. After relocating to Bakersfield, California, Wilma transferred into Kappa Omega Omega Chapter. Wilma's sister, Jeanette Rucker Fulton was one of the Chartering Members of Kappa Omega Omega. Wilma's desire was to be a role model for her daughter Marcie Davis and her niece Kelly Fulton. She was blessed to see both young ladies become part of our noble sisterhood.

For many years Wilma helped to operate her family's business Rucker's Mortuary. She was actively involved in community activities including the Chapter's Miss Fashionetta Programs. She once said it was "wonderful to witness the transition of young ladies into organized, articule, beautiful, refined and confident women moving ahead toward their educational aspirations"

Family has requested that in lieu of flowers that a Memorial Donation be made to the Bakersfield Ivy Legacy Foundation. Click the link below, select an amount, then “additional information,” and “In Memory”
